EUROPA LEAGUE: United Have A New Star

By Staff Writer

Marcus Rashford scored a brace on his debut as Manchester United beat Midtjylland 5-1 to qualify for the last 16 of the Europa League with a 6-3 aggregate victory.

Elsewhere, Ryan Mason gave Spurs the lead with a composed finish in the first half and Erik Lamela made it two before a Gonzalo Rodriguez own goal completed a 4-1 victory on aggregate.

And finally, Liverpool scraped past Augsburg and into the last 16 with a nervy 1-0 win at Anfield.

James Milner’s fifth-minute penalty proved decisive but despite creating a number of chances it was far from convincing from the Reds.
